    Terms of Service

    These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Adyant Enterprise, the legal entity operating Smart Billing India (the "Service", accessed at www.smartbillingindia.com). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

    1. Eligibility

    You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract under Indian law to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.

    2. Account & responsibility

    You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

    3. Acceptable use

    • Do not use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
    • Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, probe, or disrupt the Service or its security.
    • Do not upload malicious code, spam, or violate any third party's intellectual property or other rights.
    • Do not resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent.

    4. GST & tax compliance

    Smart Billing India is a tool to help you generate invoices and reports. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of tax data, GST filings, and compliance with applicable laws.

    5. Payments & billing

    Payments for paid subscriptions are securely processed by Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd., a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway licensed by the Reserve Bank of India. We do not store your card details. By purchasing a subscription, you also agree to Razorpay's terms of use that govern payment processing. Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.

    6. Subscription term & cancellation

    Free and paid plans are offered. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for successive billing periods unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime from the Billing page; you retain access through the end of the paid period.

    7. Intellectual property

    We retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including software, documentation, and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your selected plan. You retain ownership of all business data you upload; we process it only to provide the Service.

    8. Suspension & termination

    We may suspend or terminate your access for: material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may delete your account anytime from Settings.

    9. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

    The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill).

    10. Governing law

    These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
